Regional Environmental Conference in Greeneville, TN - 3/05/03
East Tennessee's annual Regional Environmental Conference was a great place to share alt fuels information! Made lots of contacts and enjoyed great presentations on the Early Action Compacts, review of TDEC's operations, and Eastman's waste and air pollution reduction measures.

The ETCFC's borrowed Honda Civic GX
During January and February 2003, The ETCFC borrowed a Honda Civic GX for several weeks to show to stakeholders and utilize as a rolling billboard for the coalition. It was a success!

Asheville 11/02 Alt Fuel Workshop
These pictures are from the alt fuel workshop entitled "Building Alternative Fuel Networks in the Southeast" that was put on by four states: Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. The effort grew out of the Southern Air Principles, an agreement by the (then) governor's of those four states.

Pigeon Forge/SCUD
Sevier County Utility District paid for and installed this Fast-fill FuelMaker CNG unit for the City of Pigeon Forge in 2001. They have also planned to do the same thing for another city in Sevier County, Gatlinburg, who has ordered three OEM dedicated CNG Crown Victorias for city police service. The pump pictured below serves several dedicated CNG vehicles owned by Pigeon Forge.

IdleAire
These pictures are from IdleAire's installation at the Petro truckstop on Watt Road in West Knox County (taken on September 10, 2002). IdleAire's innovative system allows a truck driver to turn off his or her idling truck and use the IdleAire window-mounted service module to not only access HVAC and electric outlets, but also cable TV, telephone, the Internet, and pay-per-view movies! All this in addition to silencing a noisy, vibrating cab, eliminating the pollutants that come from that idling engine, and reducing fuel consumption.
