Here are directions to the UT Conference Center Building. They follow the main arteries into Knoxville, as well as from the airport. Each set of directions directs you to the UT/City Parking Garage (6-story multi-colored brick building) which is on the opposite corner of the intersection of Locust Street and Clinch Avenue from the Conference Center Building. Some other general downtown parking information is provided here.
Several maps are provided at the bottom of this page to assist you. The ETCFC street address is shown below. We are located in a large, red-brick building that sits on an entire city block, bordered by the following four streets:  Henley to the West, Clinch to the North, Locust to the East and Church to the South. The Holiday Inn sits directly opposite our building at the (large) intersection of Henley and Clinch.

        311 Conference Center Building
        Knoxville, TN  37996-4134

From I-40/75 eastbound into Knoxville:
Once inside the Knoxville city limits, you will pass the exits for Gallaher View, West Hills and Papermill, respectively (about a 5 mile span). After passing the Papermill exit, go approximately 2 miles and you will pass the I-640 loop exit. Continuing on I-40 through town, you will go approximately another mile before you reach a series of exits. After passing about three exits, you will see a large sign for "441 South - Henley Street/Downtown." Follow that route. After veering right, watch for a 'Y' split and take the left-hand choice, which will direct you into the tunnel. After exiting the tunnel, your first traffic light will be the corner of Henley and Clinch. You will immediately be able to see the red brick building on your left clearly designated the "UT Conference Center Building." Proceed through the red light one block to the next red light at Church Street and turn left. Go two blocks to Walnut Street and turn left. Once on Walnut, go through the next stop sign and one-half block away is a turn-in on your left for a multi-level parking lot. Find your favorite spot and go to the left (southwestern) elevator and the bottom floor, which will dump you at the corner of Locust Street and Clinch Avenue. Cross both streets at the intersection and your in front of the Conf. Center Building.

From I-40 westbound into Knoxville:
Once inside the Knoxville city limits, you will pass an exit for Asheville Highway (70E, 11E). Approximately 1 mile after this exit, you will encounter the I-640 interchange. Proceed through the interchange staying on I-40 westbound into Knoxville. After clearing the interchange you will pass 3 exits (Rutledge Pike, Cherry Street and Broadway) in the next (approx.) 4 miles before entering the downtown part of Knoxville. Not far past the Broadway exit (about 0.5 mile), the James White Parkway exit will be available on your left. Take James White Parkway and proceed (about 1 mile) to the Cumberland Avenue exit. Exit to the right off of James White Parkway and the turn lanes will veer right and turn into Cumberland Avenue. After proceeding through the first red light, go up the hill and straight about 3 blocks to your second red light at Walnut Street and turn right. Once on Walnut, go through two stop signs and one-half block away is a turn-in on your left for a multi-level parking lot. Find your favorite spot and go to the left (southwestern) elevator and the bottom floor, which will dump you at the corner of Locust Street and Clinch Avenue. Cross both streets at the intersection and your in front of the Conf. Center Building.

From I-75 southbound into Knoxville:
Merchants Drive is the first overpass you will encounter once inside the Knoxville city limits. After passing Merchants, your next obstacle is the I-640 interchange, just over 1 mile away. As you approach the interchange, you will see that I-275 goes into Knoxville and I-75 joins I-640 westbound. Take I-275 into Knoxville; this will require minimal lane changes as the same main route simply changes from I-75 to I-275. After passing the I-640 interchange, you will go about 2 miles passing the following exits and overpasses: Heiskill, Central, Woodlawn and Baxter. After the Baxter exits, less than 1 mile away will be a split: take the right side labeled "441 South - Henley Street." [The other choice is westbound I-40 (the left side) and you don't want that one!] Within 300 yards of that split, you will face another split. The right side will be 441 South - Henley Street; follow that route. Again, in about 200 yards, you will find another split. Again, follow the sign for 441 South (it will be the left choice of the two this time). This will take you through the tunnel. After exiting the tunnel, your first red light will be the corner of Henley and Clinch. You will immediately be able to see the red brick building on your left clearly entitled "UT Conference Center Building." Proceed through the red light one block to the next red light at Church Street and turn left.

From Chapman Highway into Knoxville:
Take Chapman Highway into Knoxville all the way until you cross the Tennessee River. Once across the river, you will stay on Chapman Highway, which becomes Henley Street. Go through 2 traffic lights; upon reaching the 3rd traffic light at Church Street, you will see our large red brick building on your immediate right. Turn right on to Church Street. Go two blocks to Walnut Street.

From the airport:
Follow the signs for Knoxville. You will be getting onto state route 129 and traveling north toward Knoxville. You will go approximately 7 miles on 129 before climbing a small hill and encountering the University of Tennessee Hospital on your right. As you pass the hospital and top the hill, the University of Tennessee campus and downtown Knoxville will come into view on the horizon to your right. You will go over an eight-laned bridge which spans the Tennessee River and continue for about another mile until you must choose between I-40 westbound and I-40 eastbound; veer right and take I-40 eastbound (be careful going through this area - do not take an exit onto a local street). When your two lanes join I-40 eastbound, traffic in your direction becomes about 5-6 lanes wide; as soon as possible position yourself in the middle of the lanes and you will see a large sign for "441 South - Henley Street/Downtown." Follow that route. After veering right, watch for a 'Y' split and take the left-hand choice, which will direct you into the tunnel. After exiting the tunnel, your first traffic light will be the corner of Henley and Clinch. You will immediately be able to see the red brick building on your left clearly designated the "UT Conference Center Building." Go one block to the Church Street red light and turn left.
